What are the dates for summer 2016?

June 19-25 and June 26-July 2 are Summer 2016 Camp Weeks for high school students.  July 5-7 is for middle school students.  Registration is available by emailing us at thertrproject@gmail.com or completing the Group Application in the 2016 Introductory Packet.

 

How are homeowners selected?

Homeowners who cannot make major repairs to their own homes apply to be a part of Raise the Roof at the United Methodist Inner City Mission of Mobile.

 

Who serves during the mission weeks?

Raise the Roof Project is designed for high school students and adult leaders to participate in home repair projects, primarily roofing.

 

Do I have to be United Methodist to participate?

No. God calls all who follow Him to serve those in need. We invite anyone with a heart to serve!

Where do the groups stay?

Groups are housed at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Mobile, AL. They will eat most meals, take showers, and sleep at the church.

 

What happens at night?

Each evening except Wednesday will include dinner, a worship service with a speaker, fellowship activities, and a group time for debriefing.

 

What happens Wednesday?

Wednesday afternoon and evening is free. Groups can take some time to enjoy the beaches and attractions of Mobile and the Gulf Coast.

What is the cost of the mission week?

The cost is $240 per participant.

 

What about food?

The registration fee covers all meals except dinner on Wednesday.

 

Where do I send checks for payments & donations?

Please make checks payable to Raise the Roof Project. Mail to Raise the Roof Project at 1507 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL, 36604. Donations (not payments) can also be made online.
